Water Main Connection & Boil Water Order
The City of Plummer would like to inform residents that Contractors/City crews will be connecting a new water main located on 8th street between “K” and “M” Street on Monday, August 10, through Tuesday, August 11.
During this work, customers in this area may experience water pressure fluctuations or temporary depressurization within the water distribution system.
As a precaution, the City recommends observing a Boil Water Order beginning at 08:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, and continuing until approximately 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11.
During the advisory, residents are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute before using it for:
- Drinking
- Preparing food or beverages
- Brushing teeth
- Making ice
- Washing fruits and vegetables
The City will continue to monitor the system throughout the project and will provide updates as work progresses.
