Deposits
All customers are required to pay a deposit when opening a new account. Customers who have previously had an account with the City and maintained their account in good standings, may have their deposit waived.
Deposit amounts are $200 for customers with full services and $150 for customers who will only have electricity.
Deposits are reviewed on a quarterly basis. Customers who have kept their bill paid in full and on time, each and every month for a continuous period of one year will have their deposit applied to their account.
When an account is closed, the meter deposit, if not previously credited, will be applied to any outstanding balance and the remainder refunded to the customer.
