The Plummer Public Library houses over 16,000 books and is open 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, and Saturday.  The Library serves 1,500 patrons with 40% being from the City, 40% from Benewah County, and 20% from neighboring Kootenai County.  In addition to checking out an average of 700 books per month, the Library is connected with other libraries in Kootenai, Shoshone and Benewah Counties providing inter-library loans on a frequent basis.  The Library also provides public access internet which is utilized frequently, proctor services for exams, research, and various reading programs for all age groups.
